Live for today. Hope for tomorrow.

Dear Santa…

It’s been a long time since I’ve written, and I have a feeling my Christmas wishes will be a little different than they used to be. Instead of a long list of books and toys, here’s what I’d give anything to have this year…

Please help me have more patience with my grandma. I know she’s difficult to deal with, but I also know there’s quite a bit of brain damage there. She doesn’t realize how hard she is to be around, and I think that’s the most frustrating part. If she doesn’t know it, she can’t fix it.

Keep my family safe while they travel this season. Give them more happiness and peace than they know what to do with. They deserve it more than anyone i know.

Keep everyone without family, friends, homes, close to your heart this year. It gets cold at night this time of year. Give them a little point in the right direction to a shelter or something. Maybe they’ll be lucky enough to find some extra milk and cookies you don’t eat.

The biggest problem with the world is that people are so caught up with only thinking about what directly effects them. Give people little signs here and there that help them to see that there are more important things than the latest electronics or diamond necklaces. Help people help others.

I can’t wait for my son to meet you one day in a mall somewhere. I know you’ll be a favorite.

xoxo
